  • I thought you were, so it ought be worth a sneaky DE/HE rivalry joke.

  • Wow, you seem to be very frightened about some DE agents coming over and messing with your statistics.

Quote from Necrosa: “May be I didn't understand this post but, there is nothing else to expect from a poll than personals opinions. Whatever the topic you refer to. ” Maybe I should have written this a bit more detailed. I am not particularly refering to a specific poll or so. It is more of a general statement. A design can be good or bad, depending on whom you ask. It can be good or bad, independent of whether it has the correct price or not. This is opinion and guidelines. But when the design …

Yes, there is a difference between two conditions: a) Element works as intended, but the price is too high or too low b) Element does not work as intended, whatever the price But b is debatable, based on personal opinion, which might differ between individuals and especially between team member and community member. While the price is something that is based on how an average army (average over many many lists) should look like and how it looks in reality.

  • Roly shmoly. This bland "lack of competition" argument. That's older than 9thAge itself and has been proven insufficient so many times. If Bolthrowers were bad, people would not use them. Several armies don't have any long range shooting at all and don't complain about it. HE armies work also without long range shooting. But if people decide to pay the points for it, they consider it worth those points (sometimes). Point costs are made by the users.

  • Calls "Do not vote!" ... but also "I don't like this decision!" Seems like the UK

  • Well, this also kind of true. If you don't contribute, you don't need to complain that you were not heard. If you don't think your opinion is worth considering, you don't have to bother with the process. More influence on those people who do vote.

  • Quote from WastelandWarrior: “just dont fill it in. Its only to give the illusion that you have any impact on proceedings, like all voting ” Well, it is probably more about seeing whether opinions and data match. If yes, we get more confidence in the process. If not, we need to figure out why there is a gap.

No dice rolling involved? Nothing can go wrong? Hm, Not sure.

I don't quite get the background here. Why do those rat swarm only appear when other Ratmen are killed? Sure, there could be a divine background with a revenge god involved, but I'm not sure why this should be the case here. Vermin permanently die in droves, it is nothing to be exceptionally furious about. I prefer to simply summon the rat swarm into reserve. For me that makes more sense. It does not seem to be op when they can only enter through tunnel reserve and only in a significant size (fo…

Moreover, I think it would be very 'verminish' to have the smallest spell of the whole game. Which other army would fit better to have a 3 casting value spell? Of course it could have an amplified version, making something a bit more of an entimidating effect, but something that could be cast with 1 die seems like a nice flexible addition to the magic phase.

Among the spell selection of VS, and from my experience so far, it might be helpful to have a spell that could be cast with just using 1 die. I have several time the situation where I cast two "bigger" spells, and calculate best dice numbers for them, and end up with 1 die left over. So I normally "overcast" one of them. But I think if the H spell could have a reasonable chance of success with 1 die (so 3+), it could be a useful addition. So, instead of tinkering around with effects and then ass…

Quote from CasimirtheSwede: “@Lagerlof what I was referring to as "way to strong" was the fact that you got the 4 master spells + 1 adept level spell together with the leadership. I hadnt actually gone through the paths and circled exactly which spells would be best Edit: But just considering getting another adept spell from the ones we already have access to seems very good. ” I don't even think it is exceptionally strong. However, it just feels wrong that this way Vermin suddenly have the pote…

Quote from fireballmj: “Maybe the Valerous discretion rule should be changed to an auto flee if the model is alone but that may be somewhat extreme. Also more rule tampering in complicated book. ” I think that would be simple and effective.

I would be okay if the spell does not summon any type of unit that can be used as chaff. I am also okay if there is no representation for rat swarm models, I just use them as Giant rats or unit fillers.

I think the problem with cheaper Priests is that they will be used as chaff, despite Valerous Discretion. I think the incapabikity of Valerous Discretion rule from invalidating single characters as chaff is the main blocking point for cheaper Priests.
