  • I want more human factions. For a game, a world, which kind of says humans are the most common sentient species and among the most numerous it feels weird for it to only be 3 human factions in the game. It would make the game more interesting with more humans both from flavor but also from pure gaming perspective. Humans would have human profiles and we would have more armies with "average" profile and average special rules. Which would dampen the power creep a bit I believe.

    I don't fancy it personally. But I believe I've read BH stories which says the beasts live in forests and woods so their place in the wild, wooden/rural areas are put in stone. I can totally see some type of beastherd living on the steppes instead of forests, but as an official part of T9A canon I bellieve it won't happen.

    I like the DE book. I introduced the idea earlier in this thread that BH could have -1 to wound as AWSR. Like DE has +1 to wound I believe that would solve a lot of situations

  • they will become better when they don't have to pay a lot of points for paired weapons, and when they can ambush with more and bigger units

  • Personally I don't think ambush units should have a cap at unit size at all. As long as the ambush rules being what they are, the most efficient ambushers will be minimised units. Event hough I proposed a cap on 35 for WH, I still believe they should have no limit. 15 WH are, generally, more useful in ambush than 25. And 25 is in general just as useful as 35 or 50. But I want bigger units to be a larger part of the game and I believe less tight ambush-restrictions will make WH units more useful.…

  • After looking at the Kadim Titan for 475 pts I almost fully expect the Ghortach to go down by like, 100 pts. :p Another proposition: Reduce cost of Gortach.

  • To clarify point #3. I meant the number of units which can be ambushers. 0-2 wildhorns, Max 25 big, is frankly ridiciulous low. And same with the other ambushing units as well.

    @ our ACS. Do BH also have the kind of 3 things to change-poll like most other subforums? Or are we satisfied with the poll we did on google docs? 3 things I would like to change: 1: Free weapon alternatives on Wildhorns. 2: Raise upper size of Ambushing units to 35. 3: Raise the limit of Ambush Predators a bit.

    I hated the old feeling so I think this was the best decision they could make for VS. I didn't play VS in slim, neither with or against. Because I don't want to suffer several hours of boring play :p I accepted the state of the army and moved on to other armies. I hope people who don't like the direction of today will be able to do the same.

    It depends for me. Change up is of little consequence imho. It is easy to do. It is changing down which makes it harder. However I am that lucky I have so many miniatures that I could easilty rebase an entire army and have one for 20mm and one for 25mm. Now when I think about it, I have some customized chariot bases. 75*100mm I think. It would be cool with a "big brother" upgrade to a chariot. Like the old school settra chariot for Tomb Kings in warhammer or even Grom the Paunch with 4! wolves.

    I believe when the LAB comes we should look at it from the perspective that there are no BH in the game at all, and create something new. With that I mean we should not think about what is to be done with the current book, but what is to be done when there is a 100% new book to be designed. Because the BH book as it is now will not change rules. just points. So discussing about rule changes wanted for the current book is kind of a waste of time.
