Hi all, I am playing a game this Saturday lunchtime at Lisburn Gaming Club. If anyone wants a game in the morning please let me know and I would be happy to get there early. Ross

  • @DanT, i think i know what you mean, but would mind elaborating on what you mean by slow hobby and fast hobby?

  • Quote from StockFish85: “Best news that we could get. Finally a game with a deep history, great fluff, fun rules that doesn't streamline everything into oblivion and most probably a expanded player base with tons of players to play with worldwide. This would be the best case scenario. GW can write some fun rules but history suggests that each time they start with a fun rule set it gets corrupted and increasingly complex as the game progresses with power creep from new models, new rules, new conc…

For a standard size model you need 5 for a full rank, 3 for large models. f you go 8 wide gain fight in an extra rank, but lose your rank bonus. Generally you want to be at least 5 wide. If you have a killy unit the you may want to go 7 wide to maximise the amount of models you get into combat. For troops that can shoot you generally want them wide enough that they can all shoot (generally you shoot in 2 ranks).

Quote from KingLulzyBubz: “Mr. Merlin & bigwilyt - could I be cheeky and suggest Mr. Merlin and I use your armies and bigwilyt could talk us through it? Like you Mr. Merlin I am looking to see how many regular players there are before investing (also looking at WAB). ” Quote from wombat: “Sorry to interrupt but if you are talking about a Saturday in August, I will be able to travel up from the Republic to Lisburn to help out if needed. Can also bring an army with me if somebody wants to borrow 1…

Quote from Mr. Merlin: “Would love to get in on a Demo game. I dont really have an army ready to go, though. Just a single units worth of Makhar Horse Archers that I can quickly build up, a Shaman on Wasteland Behemoth that I just finished, a Mammoth, a Griffin and a General. Might be able to scrounge up enough to make the Tamyir Vassals too. Not a lot, and certainly not legal, I believe. ” Excellent! Where are you based? More than happy to do a demo game. Did you play warhammer fantasy previous…

Quote from KingLulzyBubz: “I'm free a couple of Saturdays in August. Only issue is I haven't got my army yet - would you have enough models to do a demo game? ” Yea that shouldnt be an issue. I can field either a dwarf civil war or dwarves and goblins. If i get any time i might also be able to bring ogres.

  • Quote from 20phoenix: “Just one model left to print and i'll be able to field 4500 point of fully 3D printed Ogres. Exciting! ” What models have you used? Im tempted to buy a resin printer but havent seen many ogre models i like. I have seen a new kickstarter on here which looks good though.

I'm guessing you make your on out of MDF, maybe?, not sure any and all advice welcome. ” As usual, Product Search gotcha covered The full list of options we know of is here: A list of movement tray options (although 1 more to add now from this thread!) Different style than most with the flat head but still rather cool. ” I've just seen this too. I think the KS is going live this weekend.
