  • Yeah honestly this makes it more enticing to me. More focus on narrative likely means a lot of characters and flavorful rules and scenarios. I already prefer rpgs and skirmish games because of the focus on narrative gameplay. So if they can deliver a rank and file game with that, perfect. Even better if they offer rules for experience and progression of characters, and if possible units, that would be a dream come true. I’m just lucky it involves Bretonnians. Literally the only downside in my op…

  • Yup. For the record I don’t think anything you say should be censored or deleted or whatever. You can call me dingleberry and I think that’s fine, I wish we were all more open about goofing around with each other like this. Especially those of us who interact with each other often

  • @It is Flo Ahh. Great points. Yes, you’re right it does exist. But it’s lacking things. I feel there is plenty of depth that we can’t use for the actual game, and lacking depth where we’d like. A lot of the background easily be ignored even unintentionally. And a lot of it s realistic and that’s not a bad thing at all, but it’s still just not very compelling. I understand you want to build a foundation as a springboard for some epic stories now. But i think it’s taking too long and my suggestion…

  • Feel free to point that out so I can clarify. I’d rather make my point very clear otherwise I’m just wasting time and effort

  • Quote from Aglion: “And you will use ToW lore but play with T9A rules ! Insane for the players that are particularly stuck with GW lore. ” If you mean me, no I won’t. And I never said that. And you’re really surprised people are sticking to lore they really like?

  • Quote from It is Flo: “We are talking about different things Sometimes you do, too. Talks but thing A than switching to thing B which is total opposite of what you just talked about. ” i feel like you might be thinking there is really only one thing bother me about this game and that one thing changes from time to time. But no there are many things I would love to change, I talk about them at different points depending on who or what the subject changes to

  • Regardless this is relative. A major reason we’re looking forward to ToW is the artwork and characters and descriptions it has, and in particular interest to me, everything it has that I can use for modeling. T9A doesn’t have that, and @Davian says of course it does, pick any model for any other setting or game and it’s artwork and models etc for T9A. And my whole point is… well it can be, but it’s not what we’re talking about, and it’s not the same thing, it’s just pretend and that’s not what w…

  • It’s been a page and a half. You’re going want to start a new thread every time it goes off topic for one and a half pages?

  • Quote from Davian: “Quote from Reconquer Designs: “Quote from Davian: “hrm, I do get where you are coming from but that position is not the only way to look on art and stuff. ” No one is saying you can’t use her as someone else. We all do that with something, that’s not a problem. I’m just saying you can’t deny that that’s who that actually is, that’s all ” Again, this is just one of several perspectives. For example one could claim that not even the artist creating something has any clue or kno…

  • Quote from It is Flo: “Please correct me (I can't look it up as I sold my Bretonia Book some time ago) but wasn't that taken away with allowing Unicorns as a mount for the bretonian (female) Wizards later? ” i think a ton of characters were removed

  • Quote from Davian: “hrm, I do get where you are coming from but that position is not the only way to look on art and stuff. ” No one is saying you can’t use her as someone else. We all do that with something, that’s not a problem. I’m just saying you can’t deny that that’s who that actually is, that’s all

  • Quote from Davian: “Quote from Reconquer Designs: “you can call them whatever you’d like. ” So said damsel on a fey which you created can be called whatever I'd like as well I presume? ” of course, the difference is calling her by any other name is no more valid than calling her a dog riding a kangaroo. Whereas she is in fact Morgiana le Fay, because only the author has authority to say who she actually is. Not you nor I, the best we can do is pretend otherwise

  • Quote from SlaveToThePyre: “It looks like people can be divided into two groups here. Those who are interested in the full shape and size of the iceberg, and those who are only interested in the pointy peak against which the boat breaks. Let's assume both these points of view are equally valid. A solid military background is more likely to stand on solid social, cultural and economical worldbuilding. Before sculpting a female character, a clearer picture of the role of women in society is needed…

  • Lol see he gets it. I fully support @eldan on many things regarding background and this game, just not that specific instance

  • Im acting just like I do with my own friends, and that’s why we have fun with each other. But fine here’s a straightforward dry answer: i don’t like that type of lore. I find it uninteresting.

  • Quote from eldan: “Quote from Reconquer Designs: “Quote from Davian: “younges damsel in a generation. Good for her but that’s not exactly a was story personal advisor to the King himself I couldn’t tell you the name of any personal advisor to any leader today, nor do I care to know ” ” Stephen Miller and Steve Bannon, Trump's advisors? Or speaking of current politics, Surkov, Patrushev, Naryshkin? Anthony Blinken? ” Ok… but I can’t. Because that’s not interesting to me

  • Quote from Davian: “younges damsel in a generation. Good for her but that’s not exactly a was story personal advisor to the King himself I couldn’t tell you the name of any personal advisor to any leader today, nor do I care to know her father is a duke? It means nobility probably have a stronger chance to be educated in this world. It also means Helene will have political power in addition to her magic ability. And vice versa, her father will have cultural and religious power as well as politic…

  • @Hombre de Mundo wow screw that guy, I didn’t know about him but I’ll keep an eye on him from now on

  • That is badass, I probably will lol

  • that’s this guy though, or did you mean someone else? whfb.lexicanum.com/wiki/Bohemo…3ABretonnian_Lord_M02.jpg
