@Happy Aspid personnal choice i often face elves or armies with access to agi modifier spells, chilling yawn allow me no matter what to strike before all core units, some characters and lot of special units, or charge spear units. @Karaghul For me i always go with gloss then matt varnish from pebeo for every mini (metal or not), apply the gloss varnish and let it dry 24 hours then slowly apply the matt one, don't put too much matt varnish on your mini or it can form bubbles in hollows when drying due to the different varnish textures Never had any frost effect, during some days the varnish can feel a bit strange when touching it but return to "normal" feeling in some days, and never had any chipping paint (but i use racks…

At 3000 points, GD like the miser or the maw are just too strong from what i saw, so many armies can't deal with them anymore if you want an overall balanced list, so a 500 points limitation per unit is good At this points, you can still take an adept deceiver, going full harbinger or even trying an almost naked apprentice omen, yes you can't take strong units like 6 flies anymore but with this format the target is fun over balance, and there is still a lot of fun things to try

I second Ursa on this, we can agree that in this complexity reduction era it could be could to give up on the archetypes, but then at least make the cultist on 25*25 base and an option maybe 1ppm to be on 20*20 base ? Mostly played vanilla cultists and find that it's way better to pay more for the Res4 options if i should make a choice now, vanilla cultists (and Res3 archetypes) should be cheaper than now to make me consider them again
