@Squirrelloid I fully agree! I never said what you’re implying

Quote from Squirrelloid: “What's with all the forced unit diversity bs? Why do people hate themed lists so much? ” Well that’s not how some of us interpret themes. A mixture of units just seems more realistic and practical to me, therefore the lack of that just screams gamey to me plus it’s uninteresting to look at

Quote from Youngseward: “Quote from WhammeWhamme: “Quote from Youngseward: “Quote from Cam: “Different magic cards for 3k< in a supplement. Sorted. ” FWIW I think the current warband flux cards work very well for 3k games. In fact that whole supplement is good fun, the seven sins themed cards are neat too. ” Speaking as (alongside DanT) part of the team that made them, the Warband cards were probably the hardest and least satisfying part of that supplement: we think we did a reasonable job, but g…

lol, at this point I'd rather support GW than wargames atlantic, and here's why. I noticed an interesting comment on FB, one guy complained something to do with their Tribes, and wargames atlantic responded with "F#$k Off". I.m thinking, wow... that's the worst PR/Customer service I've ever seen, however, being on their side of the business I've had some very unreasonable customers and thought well maybe WA just responded how many of us would like to. However, mentioning it to a friend of mine, …

The statement of magic not scaling well with larger games, I disagree with. For me it’s an ideal design, because a mage can still feel powerful relative to other units and characters, but overall not so impactful. So that if you lose it, it’s not necessarily the end of the game

Well I assume the advantage is, especially for new players, and also those that don’t play often, that memorizing one table means there’s less to learn and memorize instead of multiple methods of interactions
-
Also people will learn the changes and so checking the rulebook will be irrelevant
-
This sounds pretty cool actually
-
Well of course for people that were perfectly happy with the game all of this is just unnecessary, but I’m sure a lot of these changes come from suggestions or complaints that have been repeated over and over again
-
I’m of the mindset that if there are going to be changes to the game for a different experience, then make them big and worth it . Constant minor tweaks for balance irritates me to no end. But then some people want the minor stuff to keep things “fresh”. Well it’s not fresh to me. It’s like moving a coffee table two inches to the right, great. Rearrange the whole room or leave it alone
-
I never understood that. Is the alternative that you don’t play any game? Because the second you change to a different game, you have to build new lists and maybe not even use certain models

Yeah I dont mean customizing lesser lords with traits, I mean with colors and heraldry, and a personal background. Plus equipment. But picking a duchy that comes with its own traits, and then either taking “the” Duke for that Duchy (if the book offers that character) or making up a lesser generic lord that belongs to that Duchy. And I would hope that the traits affect the entire army in some way (or play style, or army configuration. Etc), and not only a single character

The thing is those duchies already exist in the world, but without specific characteristics or traits, they’re basically identical to each other and therefore meaningless outside of a paint job which is something, sure, but it’s just nice when unique cultures that are cannon can actually be distinguished in the game as well in addition to colors and heraldry and symbols etc. The problem with making your own “Duchy” is theoretically could exist as many as there are players of this faction, which …
