Every time I decide to build a list around them, I change it gradually and often enough to where i eventually squeeze them out and then I’m back to just regular peasants in core

Crusader peasants need more love. MORE LOVE I SAY.

I love the idea of poor, rag tag, but tough and aggressive crusading peasants but... keeping their human profile, with “poor” equipment (light armor) makes them pretty fragile. I think they need a ward save.

The only reason they never had one is because in the old game, only the nobility worshipped the lady, and it was illegal for peasants to worship her (which is a pretty stupid law that’s hard to believe). They could only get it by having a Grail relic with them which was a almost 200 pt upgrade I think

I would actually agree. Why do they not get the blessing? I mean they are holy peasants who meld with the Grail Reliquary. Should they not get the blessing?

Lol I would draw that for sure. And yeah man I mean... if they have unshakable faith then the blessing would make more sense for them than the average spoiled noble

To be fair, I would be fine with them being Str3 if they just the blessing. Theyd be O4 D2 Str 3 with 2 attacks base in the front ranks, Armor of 2 with the Grail Rel, then a 6+ Ward. Would be super neat because then you have a paladin in there with Piety and then its a 5+ ward.

Humility dukes and paladins must be frowned upon by the other lords for hanging out with the non-cool kids of the farmyard. Also weird that crusaders don't get a blessing even when they have the relique, they used to get it in 6th.

Well, I don't know how long people can continue to play this game without any background information or fluff. I enormously miss special characters, special scenarios, battle between good vs evil or order vs destruction... We don't even have any distinction for armies we don't know officially who is evil and who is good... I like my avatar picture because it has a huge background in that one picture... Anyway, you may still like the game of course but it is becoming dull for me

youre comparing almost 20-30 years of lore made in an old game and comparing it to a new game. Cmon bud be real here.

I’m with you, believe me... there’s a reason I keep drawing a bunch of KoE stuff even though they’re not working on the book yet

The problem is I don’t think they can go any faster

I am happy at least KoE became playable lately and start to win many games..step by step.

I actually like the fact that there's no particular distinction of who's good and who's evil. The best stories in my opinion are where the villain can be a good guy and vice versa, gives more depth to the story and the characters and just like in real life, things are not black and white.

For example, just like in the medieval times, the rich oppressed the poor like no end and peasants were mostly just potato slaves chained to their work with no hope of a better life, still KoE is viewed as being the good guys. Tzeentch is viewed as a bad guy even tho nobody really knows of his motives, which in the long run might be for the best in the cosmos.

Ofc every lore needs its nuisance that has only one purpose, kill and destroy everything in its way, like orcs or the tyranids in 40k, or geese in the real world. Seriously, geese can bugger off.
