As of now the website is mainly a more user friendly way to give access points of interest, similar to what the dashboard is supposed to provide.
    Sounds interesting .. any idea of when it's launching ... ? ^^

Could have been released now, in English only with a couple of typos remaining and no hype,
or later with less typos, more languages and a good PR preparation.

  • If you are going to give the 9th Age website a facelift, maybe go with something a bit more interactive?

Home page is a map of the 9th Age world. Have a home/base area for each of the factions on the map. A user can click on the icon and it opens up a menu of all things related to that particular faction

•forum dedicated to the hobby side
••sub forum to showcase different models for that faction & links
    •forum for List building discussion
•forum for future ideas for their FAB books
    •slim book
    •Full Army Book
•intro section to the faction (could have a short video presentation) literature with background info

    Just an idea

The creation on the 9th Age 2.0 main rules took roughly 3 mad years of play-testing. During this time, 16 army books, the magic department and the main underwent very frequent changes. The fanatic staff and active players made this into a devastating success. Finally the hard call was made to set the main rules (and slim army books) in stone, the allow the dust to settle, and communities to stabilize and grow. A great call; more then once I heard people around me say they are getting back into 9th Age cause the rules are stable. 9th Age left the Beta phase and has entered the stable phase.

The last three years this forum has grown to cater as much topics as possible. As a result is a ultimate resource to cater 9th Age in it's Beta phase. As we left the Beta phase, we might want to explore different sections.
I'll admit to being a fan of consistency. In general, preference goes to not changing anything unless you have to because it's actively hindering you.

I would like to see a purge of previous rules from the lexicon entries. Hate that it rules that aren't part of the game show up in links to what I type. I'm working towards fixing that on my own.

Likewise, would be nice if posts in the general sections created prior to the current edition were archieved/locked. Even if only to restart the same thread but only be able to access the current portions.

For example: Rules: Short Question - Short Answer (version 2.0)
Almost a 500 page thread, but not all of it is relevant to the current ruleset.

Regarding the points system which is attached to each user. If you do intend to keep the point system, would be really nice if it had something for people that edit existing lexicon articles, rather than only for creating new ones. Assuming the points represent a goal, it kinda discourages maintenance of the site. Otherwise, I like the point system.

  • Oh, any chance you could make it so when looking at a thread title, the "likes" listed doesn't just reflect the likes for the very first post in that thread?

Like maybe a combined total of all likes given within the thread.

Unsure if the software allows for that.

Oh, could we get a Search Engine for the User Groups?

There's 11 pages of user groups and they're sorted by the first letter in their acronym....
There is a clearer way of applying to teams on the way/already live. :)

  • How the software displays likes is not something we can change.

We just put up a recruitment tab on the webpage. If you have suggestions on it, please let us know!

  • This forum would become alot more active is the suggestions in the OP (and later on) would be followed. The structure still has weird and unfitting names, and lacks whole sections that would create activity.

  • Hey guys, can the suggestions below be adressed? There were several threads by various posters hinting on a restructuring, with plenty of argumentation. It's amied to improve this great forum.

    Spotlight
    • Announcements. Make the Announcements broader and more interesting, by adding a timeline of running projects, which AB in under construction, which AB is currently in Beta testing phase, and which use the slim stable version, and on background. Expand!
    • Rumors & Hobby News. Brought this in from down below. In a stable phase, this topic should be right up here and spark discussing, share new products, models, events, etc. Main driver for new things
    • Company Showcase. A section where all companies can post, but players can post as well. Discuss: doesn't player input cloud company showcases and shouldn't we keep this clean, so players can find new mini's more easy? And what else? Should staff post new miniatures projects they find online here?
    • Paintjob Showcase. A section where people can show off paint jobs. Not used allot, very few topics. Is this a valuable section? Is it worth being in the Spotlight?

  • also, of some importants, the limmits of being able to post decent sized pics really caps how this forum can devellop as a hobby hub.

As its possible here eefl.freeforums.net/thread/1128/painting-journey?page=36 , it should be possible on our forum right?

The pics on this forum are just yummi, something I miss here.
