See also 11.E.b Charge Move.
You have in fact an unlimited movement for the charge. The charge roll is only there to determine if you are allowed to charge you could say.Greetings.

Hello all,
Some quick questions:
- is it possible to shoot after a pivot ? Or this movement is considered as a reform so no shooting unless you have a musician and perform a quick reform ?
If 20 highborn archers without musician did a pivot. Could they shooting ?
thanks -

No.
Long answer:
When moving a unit in the movement phase, there are only 3 types of movement: Advance Move, March Move, and Reform (see 12.D Moving Units).
So technically, pivots are not considered a separate type of move for this purpose - they are manoeuvres that are performed in certain situations (at the start of a flee/pursuit/random move, post-combat, during the advance/march move of single model units, etc.). A unit can of course simply pivot in the movement phase, but for rules purposes, this is considered a reform. And a reform without a musician prevents the unit from shooting. -

A dwarven king in a unit greybeards gets all his R&F destroyed in combat and breaks but is not caught. When making the rally test, does he still count as being decimated?
Where in the rules can I find the answer to this and could this situation be included in either of the combined units/rallying fleeing troops/decimated units sections? -

Where in the rules can I find the answer
<
21.B.c R&F Models in a Combined Unit Wiped out
If a Combined Unit has all its R&F models removed as casualties, (...) the remaining Characters (...) are treated as a new unit for Rally Tests (i.e. Characters that were part of Fleeing Combined Units at 25% or less of their starting number of Health Points take Rally Tests on their normal Discipline).
>
But you don't even need 21.B.c for your example. This is covered here:
<
17.D Decimated
A unit without any R&F models is considered Decimated if the sum of the Health Points of its models is 25% or less of the sum of its models’ starting Health Points.
>
So if the king is on foot, he can never be decimated (regardless if he was part of a combined unit at a previous point in the battle). If he is on shield bearers or war throne and down to 1 HP, he will be decimated; otherwise, he'll rally on his normal discipline. -
For the spell Summer Growth, is the ground targeted in contact with a terrain piece if I target ground that is within a forest? Conversely, is open ground always in contact with a forest?

One question from me as your resident "dont need to learn panic because undead" snob
I recently had a situation in which one of my units broke from combat. My opponent pursued. one of his pursuing units got in contact with a nearby units of mine (so he charged from a pursuit move).
question: When is the panic test done? My secondary Unit was close enough to be panicked by the breaking of combat. Is the Panic Test done immediately when the Discipline check is failed or after flee and pursuit moves are done?
Question 2 (Untrelated): A random move that results in a charge is a charge into the facing according to the positions BEFORE the pivot at the beginning of the move, right? I had a situation in which my steam tank was in the rear of the target before the pivot, but after facing the target, he would have been in the flank -
I had a situation where a unit of tegu riders inlcuding a carnosaurus were just in base contact with an enemy unit over their corner and I could not slide to bring more units in base contact due to another one of my units being in contact with the same enemy unit over their corner. I suggested to bring my carnosaurus into base contact with the enemy by Reforming to be 2 wide with the riders and making the carnosaurus to be the only unit in the front rank, but my enemy said this is an illegal formation, as the warplatform cannot be the only model in the front rank? I cannot find where this is written. Would there be an another reason why this move could not have been legal?
