The final regiment of heavy infantry that the imperial academies can raise; they've press ganged every sailor and prisoner they can find and there are no more left (by which I mean these are the last heavy infantry models I have)

Finally some updates from the mini front!

Including my previous (and first) update, I am now on:
- 15 standard cavalry
- 15 standard infantry

And soon I can almost double those numbers!

I support @Kasocles getting points based on the original base size. Those looks great, and finicky to paint!

Agreed. If not, painting one human bust or diorama would bring easy 100p

Alright so a few things first :

1) Yes, these are on round bases. I'm still waiting on my movement trays to come from GSW and I might just end up making them myself to fit my theme better.

2) This is only the start of a larger force which will also count Empire Models (in fact the last pic is one of those). I've just stopped painting for almost two years and I'm trying to get my backlog done in a... sort of "order" of priority.

3) Well here's my first contribution, it's still in progress of course but I felt like sharing for input and 'cuz I'm kinda proud of, you know, the work done. They're not finished, mostly because I can't find my damn fine paintbrush for the details, so yes, there's still a lot of areas still in need of covering.

Hope it makes your time worth it, here's the start of my army, the Sworn Bastion of Anrest.
(Each time I'll try to give the correct T9A unit they would proxy, however keep in mind they're on round bases and a tad bigger than expected. Will try to also give the approx. correct size PLUS the actual base size.)

King Alberich the IIIrd of Anrest (EoS Marshall) (Base : 32 mm round, could fit on a 20*20 with some fiddling)























Prince-Heir Daverich the IInd of Anrest (middle), alongside not-grey-wolf-I-swear and Captain Varder Alderys of the Sworn Guard.
(Two more EoS Marshall, although I could put not-Robb and not-Grey Wolf on a single base and use them as a Knight Commander, wonder if that'd be a good idea) (Bases : again, 32mm round, however they would both fit on 20*20 or, in the case of Robb/Wolf, on a singular cav base)


25 swordsmen of Nordgathe (EoS Heavy Infantry, Shield and Sword, the spears are here for aesthetic purposes only) (Bases : 32 mm again, could fit on 20*20)


12 Knights of the Brazen Citadel (EoS Imperial Guard with great weapon, I need to convert 3 more for the minimum size unit to be fieldable tho ) (Bases : 32 again, would fit on 20*20 with some fiddling I did it once but honestly I'll just stick to my movement trays lmao)

And one random one I particularly like despite his rather... pallid tone of skin. (Might be from all the time fighting monsters)


Aaaand to finish it up, a smol picture because he's definitely not presentable.
Lord Bertrand Du Guesclin, High-Duke of the City of Eauterne (Dullwater) (Knight Commander + 4 Electoral Knights (they also need a 5th buddy to be playable but that's not my point right now)

(Base : UGH you know what, I might just put him back on his original base. 75mm oval. Could definitely fit on his original 25*50)

(be gentle to him, I lost the paint pots I was using for him )

And 4 random light cavalry dudes behind him that still need their own paint. (Bases : 50mm round but would fit on 25*50 also).



There's all I could get done this last week, although I must admit Alberich was done earlier this year.

The final army will be made of three main forces : this one, a more "advanced" one using Lannister infantry and heroes from the same ASoIaF tabletop, and the Brigade d'Eauterne to accompany our little Duke just above, which will be entirely made of Actual Warhammer Empire of Man miniatures, yes sir.)

Will try to post them here if it's ok with you all (at least a group shot of all I can do for december).
This kind of little contest/challenge gives me a lot of inspiration, not in it for the prize, just for the sharing.

First standard bearer for the army!

I will "finish" a few more knights before the end of the year. I do have an evil plan to do touch-ups, shields and sealer varnish next year to get them all counted again and maaaybe reach the Painting League target for 2023.

@dan, where do we stand on human scenery counting towards the 2023 Human League?

Waterslide transfers go a long way for us who aren't freehand-happy!


Recipe for the green, in case you want to give it a go: Caliban Green base (Citadel), Greenskin to most of the surface (Army Painter), Goblin Green highlight (Army Painter).

For the knight's tabard, I base directly with Greenskin, but I then wash that with Thraka Green/Biel-Tan Green (Citadel) to get some shading.

The green on the banner's background is Loren Forest and Straken Green with the same wash in between.
