Hey Folks -
I'm curious as to how Battle Focus and Shooting combine. There are rules explaining how to implement it, but I'm not sure as to when to apply it.
For example -
If you were to cast Savage Fury onto a unit of Asklanders armed with throwing weapons. The spell Savage Fury reads "The target gains Battle Focus, Fearless, and Frenzy."
Battle Focus on page 94 of the workbook reads:
"Battle Focus - Close Combat
If the attack hits with a natural to-hit- roll of '6', the attack causes one additional hit (i.e. usually two hits instead of one).
In order for Shooting Attacks using Hopeless Shots to cause one additional hit, the first to-hit roll must be a natural '6' and the second to-hit roll must be successful in order to hit the target."
If you look at similar spells
The Stars Align (Divination): "The target gains Divine Attacks. In addition, it must reroll failed to-hit rolls with Close Combat (and Shooting) Attacks.
Flaming Swords (Pyromancy): "The target gains Flaming Attacks and Magical Attacks. In addition, the target's Melee and Shooting Attacks gain a +1 to-wound modifier.
So does "Stars Align" and "Flaming Sword" give a unit Divine or Flaming/Magical attacks on its shooting attacks?
How does this stuff stack up?
My initial reading is that the Asklanders get Battle Focus on their throwing weapons attacks and also on their melee attacks.
