    • English version (partly to make sure I understand everything):

Hi players from München, Regensburg, Nürnberg und Augsburg, we are organizing a Campaign. We will organize and track it here and on discord.

      Overview:
      • We will begin 2 weeks after the release of the balance patch (excluding hotfixes).
      • The entire campaign will take place in and around Avras where all races have a presence.
      • @FloriGressConsulting will sponsor the campaign by awarding special prizes for cool battle reports, interesting results, unlucky losers, at his discression. These prizes will include mugs with army logos, background books, army books, new dice or even just the printed rule book.
      • Because this is the first T9A Campaign, it is important to keep things simple and avoid things that are demotivating.
      Rules:
      • Each Season is one Month.
      • The size of the map and the magic phase each season are dictated by the increasing army size as described below:

      SeasonArmy SizeBattle Field Size
      11500Warband: 48"x36"
      22250Warband: 48"x36"
      33000Warband: 48"x36"
      43750Normal: 48"x72"
      54500Normal: 48"x72"

      • We will post army lists each season here and in the discord.
      • The campaign will focus on hunting and exploration. We are searching for information and treasure, not fighting for territory.
      • Games can be played online (if both players agree) or in person.
      • Each player chooses a low level hero character to represent them on the battle field. This hero will grow stronger each month until it reaches the level of a high level hero. (For details see other post). Example: Vampire Courtier eventually becomes a Vampire Count.
      • Each month there will be a specific scenario chosen that makes use of the Flux and Lands (and scenario?) supplements.
      • Players can play as many times per month as they like (and as many opponents). We strongly encourage at least 1 game per month.
      • Each month when the army gets larger, the list remains the same but simply adds more things to it worth 750 points.
      • Each game after the first gives players the ability to remove a unit from their list. When removing a unit, the remaining points can buy other units or add to existing ones as the player sees fit. For example, you might remove a 600 point unit and add two 300 point units, or add a 400 point unit and increase another unit by 200 points.

The post was edited 3 times, last by Glakthag ().

    • Okay, now more on the evolution of the chars:

Basically your chosen char may gain one of the folowing benefitsfor free at the start of each month (beginning with the 2nd):
+1 to any stat (max the maximum for a lord char of the same kind of your faction)
+1 Spell (max the maximum for your wizards)
+1 Channel (maximum reachable value 1)
+1 to cast (maximum reachable value 1)
+ 100 points allowance for special items max the maximum for a lord char of the same kind of your faction and you will still have to pay points for the special items but may change your list accordingly in this step by adding new items)

    • At the prestige festival for Sunna's glory a morbid news came to light by a messenger from the holy Emperor!
Only the current Nobles knows is secrets and gathered around in a big Tent. They ask the Clerics for aid and later called for the Inquisition!
By HIS command the Inquisition ordered Grand Inquisitor Friedmund Seud to gather all currently available men and marsh into unknown chapters.
The force is small but elite.
The Emperor gave him an Marshall to aid in leading the army but he made clear! The Inquisition has the last word! What will come? we will see

As the Friedmund Seud heed the call and went to find the treasure all he did find was devestating dwarfs!
"Obviously damn dwarfs are after the treasure" he shouts as he and his Marshal fled the table and his brave soldier's fight to the last men!

His full army dies or flees! The rich knights of the sun griffons also fled while the heavy infantry and the really big fan of suna made sure that the dwarfs don't get anything out of this game!
At least the dwarfs don't get the treasure either! Haha!

In the end it is a 13-7 for the dwarfs. Objective draw !Mvp giant! I am a really big fan and should remember he has battle focus

    • Battle of the Outcasts:

Drychon led his small warband deep into a wooden area where a wizard had build his tower right next to a lake. A lake with a secret treasure. The blind seer Noareth had seen something in the deep waters of the magical lake: Victory and betrayal. But who would be the culprit? The warband of elves and mutants (Centaurs and Dragon Breath Guard) was way too small and everybody trusted each other to the death.
All of a sudden another Outcast with his vengeful brethren appeared. It was a Dread Elves army with a Warlock on Dank Pegasus and some creatures like Gorgons and Harpies. Before the battle began, the Forest Rangers known as Dragon Breath Guard lost some of their number to a beast lair, thus earning the surname of Best Brothers.
The honour of the first shot went to Drychon and he skewered a couple of Judicators with his Bough of Wyscan, last artefact from their once home before their exile. The Lakedragon Arrows joined and killed dozen of their dark cousins. The Gorgons baited the Brotherhood of Wild Huntsmen, who gladly charded into the monsters. Thearon the Wild charded as well and together with his Bald Griffon Blue Wing, they slaied the abominations and made the Dread Elves flee.

The Sylvan Elves were victorious, but the silence was loud, too loud. Had their opponents just retreated. And by whom would they be betrayed? Noareth suddenly cried out, for she saw herfelf as the traitor. But that battle was yet to be fought.

And now I close with the words of Charles le Clerk, a bard from KoE:

      "When we went to Avras,
      da war doch was.

      We found some clues,
      and still more to does.

      We went on a track,
but we only found some dreck.

      The search prevailed,
      but our scouts failed.

      We almost got lost,
      but after drinking some Most,

      we saw we heard,
something which made our lord say m e r de.

      2 Portals here and there,
      they lead to where?"

    • Chapter 1: The search for buried treasure.

      Introduction:

With the battle won, the Warlock dismounted her Blackmane Pegasus on the blood soaked deck of the enemy merchant ship. She briefly looked over the captives with disgust. Scurvy ridden humans. These men would hardly be worth enslaving. Just when she thought her time had been wasted her champion called out. They had found something.
The map! Finally, after months of searching, she had found it. The power of the Mages’ Sanctum was real, and so close! There was no time to lose. Filled with a sudden bloodlust, she turned to face her prisoners. The air began to swirl as her hand raised with an open palm. With a sharp gesture she twisted the veil to her will, releasing a cyclone of wind and energy that turned her captives to bone and dust. A harpy perched on the mast above let out a maniacal cackle.

      Our Hero:

      Game 1 & 2 vs WDG.

They made landfall two days later on the northern coast of the Middle Sea. Beautiful Arcalea. It had been years since she walked these shores. They didn’t look so welcoming today. They had passed a number of coastal villages, all ruined but still smoldering. The lone survivor was a human girl with auburn hair, beautiful except for a large scar along her left cheek. It was an old scar. Her own people must have treated her poorly. She frowned without tears as she recalled the horrors she had seen, a tale of barbarians, hellfire, and giant beasts. The Warriors of the Dark Gods, without a doubt. The Warlock took her as a personal slave, a mercy she rarely showed, but then again she did have a soft spot for outcasts.

They made their way inland along the Arcalean River, but before long it became clear they were being watched. The woods before them burst into flame! As the Warlock mounted her Pegasus and her warriors assembled, she called forth her mighty Gorgon sisters. Without a word, they slithered into the burning forest, immune to its effects, heading off any enemies that would circle around the right flank. She screamed a curse upon her enemies, but in her fury she lost control, and four of her Corsairs paid the price. With her remaining forces, she circled the woods to the west and quickly spotted the Barbarian Chieftain with his horde on a hill up ahead. He mocked her from there, calling bouts of Hellfire down upon her. Though she could feel her sisters itching for battle, she would not let them take the bait, instead sending her Harpies to harass the barbarians and coax them off the hill. At the same time she twisted the Veil to sap the life force from the Chieftain from afar. Again she lost control, the spell gaining power beyond what she had ever channeled before. She spat blood and cursed, wiping sweat from her brow, but as she looked upon her enemy she saw the true outcome of her magic. As the remaining barbarians fled with her Harpies in pursuit, her eye caught the sun glinting off of the Chieftains’ weapons as they slowly slid down a fresh pile of dust and bone.

      Game 1:

The Gorgons tanked both the knights and the Feldraks while the Warlock sniped the characters. I got really lucky with magic, but -2 to dispell was key to victory.

      Game 2:

This game was similar. The Feldraks were able to take out the Gorgons, but they died as well because I had the H spell up. Again I sniped the characters each turn forcing him to charge. The Judicators cleaned up the barbarians while the knights failed a short charge and got surrounded.

Both games 20-0. MVP was magic.

      Game 3 & 4 vs SE

As they made their way north, the woods grew thicker and more dangerous. A mystical kind of blue energy resonated from the roots. They found a lake teeming with magic and bathed there, enjoying a break from their travels, but this lake belonged to the Sylvan Elves. With scarcely any time to prepare, arrows fell upon them. They suffered great losses to the cowardly ambush, but were able to retreat to safety and regroup. From the woods emerged the leader of the Sylvan Elves with a massive Wyscan Bough at the ready. He would be ready.

Further retreat was not an option. Their goal was past these woods in the mountains ahead. To go around would cost far too many weeks, and such delay and cowardice would be worse than death. With her renewed forces she pushed forward to a wooden barricade. With any luck, the arrows would be useless against it. She cursed her enemies with magic, and turned deer riders to dust. They would think twice before coming any closer. She ordered her corsairs and harpies to circle around the enemies flank and target the druid, the blind Seer Noareth, and her archers. They captured her after a volley of handbows dropped her guards. The mighty Drychon, wary of losing his kin, called a halt to the hostilities. He reluctantly granted the Warlock and her sisters passage through the forest in exchange for the life of Noareth. Reluctantly the Warlock agreed, and they passed unmolested. Better to fight another day and to spill the blood of lesser races.

      Game 3:

This game was over before it started. I pushed up too aggressively with the Gorgons and got double charged. When they died, the general and corsairs panicked off the board.

      Game 4:

This game I was more cautious, but I can't do much about being out shot besides rely on the Hereditary. I just sat behind the wall and tried to snipe until it was over. In the end it was about even, but not much died.

0-20 and 9-11 (Tied objective). MVP Hereditary. LVP Judicators (just zoning).

      Game 5 vs DH

They approached the Misty Mountains cautiously, but were nevertheless spotted by Dwarven scouts wielding heavy crossbows and a massive flying machine behind them. The corsairs bravely moved up to meet them and exchange bolts. The Dwarven crossbows were superior, but a charge from the Dark Riders was enough to eliminate their advantage. Meanwhile, the Gorgons and Harpies moved swiftly along the left flank, spotting three hunking stone golems. The Gorgons made short work of them, leaving one for the harpies to finish off. The Dwarven center greybeards was led by a single crazed warrior with a mohawk and spiked flails. Even the best trained Judicators were uncertain and hesitated at the sight of him. Finally they were forced to give up their defensive position or be flanked. They charged and wounded him, but the flails were too deadly and the Elves were routed. In the end, half of each force had been wiped out, but the greybeards and their Thane sat immovable, guarding the treasure. On the tail of this disappointing failure, though, came unexpected success, for as they made their way through the Misty Mountains they encountered a Mist Leviathan and captured it. It would take some time to tame the beast, but the mists would protect her army while they travel.

      Display Spoiler

      Game 5:

I dropped for first and pushed up aggressively. Corsairs shot at the crossbows while the Gorgons threatened the Guardians. The Judicators just defended the wall.

Seeing the corsairs start to lose, the Dark Riders position for a charge. The Gorgons failed the first charge attempt into the Hold Guardians, but make the second.

The Gorgons leave 1 wound remaining on the HG which the Harpies sweep away. The Gorgons then get a charge into the Grudge Buster and with the H spell they kill each other. The Riders chase down the crossbows and the Thane shoots off the corsairs. Finally, the Vengence Seeker takes out enough Judicators that they break and run.

7-13 (Lost objective). MVP Gorgons (Took down HG and Grudge Buster). LVP Judicators.
