What does your username mean (if it's not too personal)?
Fair question. It's a fictional compound word combining Chronos and Cide.
Chronos is a deity of time, or at least, regarded as such now. Unclear if Chornos being a god of time is something a real religion believed, or if Chronos was a deity unrelated to time and was described as such by non-believers. Anyway, Chronos is often used as part of words for devices and concepts that deal with time.
Cide is Latin, I believe, for "to kill" or "kill".
So Chronocide is Time-kill.
Time killing, or rather, to Kill Time is an idiom which means "to spend time doing something while one is waiting"
Which is a good phase to describe most of what I do in life.

What part of the world do you live in?
I'm in Oregon, which is a state on the west coast of the USA

How did you get into the Hobby and what have you done since then?
I suppose my mom got me into arts and crafts, and both parents got me into books, and it's just kinda spiraled from there.

Which armies do you play?
Play is a loose concept. I "collect with the intention of playing" multiple DL armies, WDG, BH, DH, ID, VC/UD. Been over 2yrs since I last played. I'm looking forward to "watching" a game in-person in the next week or so...that's where I'm at on the "play" end of things.

Why do you support the 9th Age project?
Mostly because I can, I suppose. It started with just me fixing a couple of outdated lexicons on the T9A forum, and then I found myself with unexpected free time, and I became more involved in updating lexicons. And I still update lexicons. It's something I can do, and it seems to help.

Why do you support the 9th Age project? (asked a second time)
After a while of doing things on this site, I'm made friends. Most people here I've never met in person or outside of the site, but they're still work friends or kind acquaintances, and there's some tolerable jerks here too. It's a good online group, and with the covid lockdown killing a lot of my social groups, the T9A project has really been very helpful for me.

What is your personal role in the 9th Age project team?
I'm not staff. So I'm not on any team. Back on staff now.

I was in charge for the lexicon team for a while - in charge being somewhat of a joke since I was also the only member of that team. I did good work a bit more than a year, but like any gigantic project, I eventually burnt out and required some downtime. Deleted my old account and left. Now I'm back, got a fresh new account (with the same name as the old).

And now I'm back on the Lexicon Team.
