About Me
About Me
Where are you from and where do you live right now?
I am from, and still live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It is the capital city of the province and is located in the northern half.

What year did you start playing table top war games?
I started playing war games in 2006, I began playing Warhammer Fantasy in 2009 and the 9th Age during early 2015.

How did you get into the Hobby and what have you done since then?
a friend came back from deployment and manged to wrangle my room mate and myself into Games Workshop's Warhammer 40k. When we went to the local store to pick up our starter sets I noticed a display for Warhammer Fantasy and I was instantly intrigued by the Wood Elves faction. Despite asking to see if they wanted to get into that game instead we played 40k exclusively for some years. Around 2009 I had struck up a friendship with one of the clerks at my local games store and he slowly convinced me to start up Warhammer Fantasy, even selling me a Dark Elf army with quite the discount (I was eyeing both Lizardmen & Wood Elves and he convinced me to pick up Dark Elves since they had elves riding lizards!). I was soon hooked and Fantasy began superseding 40k as my main game. I have been playing the 9th Age since its initial inception and was an early adopter in my community. I have also dabbled with games such as Frost Grave, Infinity, Flames of War, Ronin, & Mordheim. Additionally I use my extensive miniatures collection while dm'ing Dungeons and Dragons campaigns.

Which armies do you play?
Sylvan Elves, Empire of Sonnstahl, & Highborn Elves. I still dabble with Dread Elves from time to time and have a Forest Goblins army on the way as well.

Why do you support the 9th Age project?
I love the community driven aspect of the rules system and I feel the game is the best option for mass miniature fantasy battles out there. It pays homage to what has come before while also striking new ground and exploring fresh ideas. Not being tied to a company allows for so much creativity when it comes to designing our armies and I am excited to see what the future holds. And finally a remarkable community has sprung up in both in my local area and around the world full of amazing people sharing the same passion I have for this game!

What is your personal role in the 9th Age project team?

Community Support for the Sylvan Elves faction.
