About Me
About Me
Name: Oscar

Where are you from and where do you live right now? I am from Västerås, Sweden, but I currently live in Uppsala, Sweden.

What do you do for living? I work as project leader in engineering for a large research institute. Handling numbers and people is my gig.

Since when are you in the Hobby? I started around the 2000s but had a break and came back in earnest in 2010, with the rise of 8th edition.

How did you get into the Hobby and what have you done since then? I have Always been into fantasy, board-games and the likes, so starting came natural. After the break, we were a couple of friends looking for a new past-time. Since Västerås had a large WHFB scene, we started with it there and soon after started to go to tournament. Competing have been the focus since, going so far as to represent Sweden in ETC.

Which armies do you play? Erhm, I own about half of them, soooo: VC, EoS, SE, ID, WDG, SA. Have been drifting towards the Empire lately, for the sake of Steel, Faith and Gunpowder.

Why do you support the 9th Age project? The 9th age came both as a needed rescue after GW...did things...and also as a project among friends. Many of the Swedish original creators lived in Uppsala and we were part of the same scene. Seeing their hard work and the re-emergance of a beloved game, of course you help.

What is your personal role in the 9th Age project team? I am currently Tournament Support for Sweden, meaning i help tournament organizers getting events going. It could be help with software, point sizes, scenarios and all the various administration in between.

Think of me as a friendly, helping hand between the 9th Age Community up on high, and the tournaments out in the field.
