About Me
About Me
How old are you? 38

Where are you from and where do you live right now? Edmonton, AB, Canada. Born and raised.

What do you do for a living? I’m a court runner and courier for a registration company that serves various law firms.

Since when are you in the Hobby? I started with Warhammer fantasy 5th edition in 1998.

How did you get into the Hobby and what have you done since then? A few friends and I used to go to “Rock and Ride” events at the amusement park inside of West Edmonton Mall, and there was a Games Workshop near the entrance. We became curious about the miniatures while waiting in line, and ended up going back to check them out another day.

Since then I have tried out many games. My main interest has always been fantasy, but I’ve dabbled in sci-fi and historical stuff as well. I also worked at a comic and games store for 8 years, where I managed the miniatures section of the store.

Which armies do you play/possess? My most finished army, and the one I’ve played most, and longest, is Empire of Sonnstahl. I’m currently working on a Vampire Covenant army, and trying not to get distracted by my other projects. I have a bunch of other armies in various states of assembly: Dread Elves, Daemon Legions, Orcs and Goblins, Highborn Elves, Vermin Swarm, and others. I’m very much into the collecting side of the hobby.

Why do you support the 9th Age project? I have always been most interested in mass battle, rank and flank, fantasy wargames. I have found that 9th Age offers the best customization of the available options, and I really like the fact that it is not beholden to any one line of miniatures. It’s also inspiring to see all the hard work our volunteers pour into the project, and the passion involved in that labour of love.

What is your personal role in the 9th Age project team? I am a managing editor for The 9th Scroll.
