3.B.c [b]Close Formation & Line Formation[/b]
Units are normally considered to be in Close Formation. Units in ranks of 8 or more models are instead considered to be in Line Formation. Units in Line Formation gain the Fight in Extra Rank Attack Attribute, but cannot add any Rank Bonus to their Combat Score.
(additionally, the Volley Fire attack attribute is affected by Line Formation) -
A unit with this rule only needs to be 1 model wide to form a Full Rank.
