Von VisconteDimezzato,

Creating cover art is a long process that goes through a number of stages. From initial conceptualisation by either a background team member or one of the artists, through numerous steps that are evaluated and commented on until the final product. Along the way, we sometimes try out different styles to see if the image created might not better fit elsewhere inside the book or maybe to be reproduced in a different publication in that different style.

What we're showing today is a Dread Elf Princess by @Thorsen (Michele Bertilorenzi) in her corsair panoply facing a foe on the foaming shores of Hengelaw supported by a loyal hydra as described in the story contained by the covers.
