  • Quote from Chack: “Quote from Tyrgrim: “I dont play SE myself, but i play against them pretty often. I don't get why the forest rangers where changed. They where good when you had a char with the spear with them + ran druidism on your mage, but far from OP. A stable option to get a somewhat tanky unit, although it did cost some points. The current iteration of them just seems bad and counter intuitive to the armys other strengths. ” You are saying that a unit were just ok when supported by two c…

  • Quote from Aenor: “thanks guys! Quote from Tyrgrim: “Love the style of those barbarians! Would love to field big units of em ” I'd like that too, but may take some time! what do you call big units? 20?Quote from Kapten Kluns: “Wow such cool models. Do you have anythin demonic? ” not yet, but I'll certainly do some demonic characters in the future ” 20-50 is the unit size for barbarians, so if you where to sell packs of 10 or 20 that arent super expensive i would be all over that. The style is aw…

  • Love the new concept for the MoCT. How useful it will be remains to be seen, but I'm optimistic and will def try it out

  • I like most, if not all, of the changes we've seen so far. But i really do not like the change to the star dragon. Even if it goes down in points and we're allowed to field that + a frost phoenix in a non ryma list, i still don't like it. I've always felt that it was its high toughness which characterized it more then anything else about it. Let the spiders be the ones with 8 hit points. Nothing wrong with some rock paper scissors units here and there in this game, it's not like it has seen alot…

Hahaha. I actually had an eureka moment today as well when i remembered the rebirth rule. But thats what practice games are for PS. Sick tower btw! PPS. F grotlings.

  • Does midnight cloak give a character magical attacks in the first round of combat? What's making me wonder is the wording of the rule: Quote: “Attacks with this special rule or Attacks made by model parts with this special rule normally don’t have any specialeffect. However, they interact with other rules (such as Ethereal). Models with this special rule apply it to all theirattacks, including Special Attacks such as Stomp, Impact Hits, and Breath Attacks (unless stated otherwise). Allattacks ca…

Heya, the picture links seems dead to me?

  • From the ID AB: "Sturdy A model with this rule has Thunderous Charge. Furthermore, it does not suffer to-hit modifiers from taking a Stand andShoot Charge Reaction." Does this mean that a characters mount gets Thunderous Charge as well? Since it says "a model", and not "a model part"? Surely it's just a miss and not intentional?

  • Oh boy, I am super excited about seeing the remaining magic paths. Really like the 2 shown so far ^^.

Someone mentioned flavour. That one word describes heavily what brought me into the game, and what kept me in it. Not just all races, but most units within armies, hade their own strong and unique flavour. This has steadily decreased as the 9th age has progressed. Lots of spells are very similar atm, yes. But thats because they where chosen to be made that way. It was not inevitable, but an active choice (probably in the spirit of "balance"). And then half of all the lores are dumped because of …

  • Because it's not a war machine, it's a monster with an artillery weapon. Move and fire is only a rule for war machines.

  • When dispelling Bound spells that are RiP, do you use the power level of the bound spell or the spells normal lowest casting value? Thinking of Frenzied hysteria. And do you also still get the +1 to dispell it?

  • Quote from Debonair Bear: “Quick Question: Can a character with the Wizard's Hood wear armor? Sorry if this is a silly question. Thanks in advance for any responses ” "A Magical Armour cannot be taken by Wizards, unless the Wizard has a mundane armour other than Innate Defence,Mount’s Protection and Barding or the option to buy it (ignore armour from mounts or other riders/crew membersmounted on the same mount as the wizard)" page 104.

Quote from pk-ng: “Quote from Tyrgrim: “Does Fiery Convication really need a buff? If the intent is to bring infantry back into the game in 9th by making them a viable choice, and removing some of the hero hammer, do we really need to have a buffed Fiery floating around? It's already a very good spell. It basically tells your opponent that "either you give up your own magic phase, or i'll just collect the points for this unit... eventually." ” Buff in what sense?Comparative to 8th Edition it was…

  • Page 59. Magic Items often referred to their “wearer” or “bearer” Page 60. Giant Sword (60 pt / 50 pt)Type: Hand weapon. Attacks made with this weapon are are at +3 strength The same double "are" appears on ogre blade just below as well. Page 65. Banner of Courage (5 pt)Bearer’s unit automatically passes Terror tests and are immune to the effects of Fear Shouldn't it be "is immune to" rather then "are"? Being singular and all.
