Nice wizard, with very pretty OSL! I did a cosmology icon on one of my banners and it helped me a lot to first cut out a paper version of the icon and then fold it onto the model so you can see how it should follow the curves. I think the thing that's off about yours is that it seems a flat projection on a curvy cape. Maybe this could help, though on a cape it might be too tiny to get it done

  • Option 2: Sylvan Elves mostly

  • Awesome! I hope I can do something like this in 6,5 years with my son

I like this game! I agree that the brb is a bit overly technical, but i understand why. My favourite solution would be An easy to read version (including the fluff n stuff), with the current brb as reference. I completely disagree with the doom and gloom, the direction is great from what i experience. Thanks t9a

  • v204 Release is here!

How can people still whine about rules changing?! It's a beta for crying out loud! The rules got frozen before that because players asked for it, now we're in beta so the core rules don't get changed too much and people still complain. Blech. On topic: Not a lot of changes in the BRB. Good.

  • Aren't the issues you are all talking about for the army book rewrite? And yes I know some armies (SE for example) did get some bigger changes besides point adjustments, but afaik the bigger plan is to just balance what is there now and make awesome(r) again later.

Looking good! I especially like that you have some colours that come back a lot, but not everything is the same, like the berserkers hair Could you do an overview shot of the things you have finished? Looks nice I imagine.

I always thought there were two categories: Low Fantasy and High Fantasy. GW is going for Skyhigh Fantasy. I'm not a big fan. Details and quality are good ofc, style too far over the top for me.

  • Hi Stygian. It's ok, everyone is welcome here.

  • Quote from Grimes: “Nobody wants Witchcraft... ” Witchcraft got implemented because the community wanted it. Please don't make statements like this. If you don't want it, say you don't want it.

  • Can't we restrict witchcraft and divination just by giving access to them only to adepts, or at least not masters? We wouldn't have access to all of it (which apparently isn't allowed), but get the same freedom (streamlining!) other adepts have.

  • I would really like it if the shapeshifter would go the Exalted Heralds route (choose a form at the start of the battle). I imagine shapeshifting is not a super easy and/or quick thing to do, so making it like dances with changes every turn doesn't work for me*. The current iteration also isn't working for me, it might be good (idk) but it doesn't breathe shapeshifter. *I admit, there are many examples of shapeshifters just shifting whenever they like in an instant and back and to something else…

  • Hmm. I think the difference between using a sable and being sable should be clear enough

  • Hi, my wife is a hardcore knitter (yes, you can knit hardcore) and at the forum she's on they have an abbreviation I really like: SABLE. I think it might be applicable here as well. SABLE means: Stash Acquired Beyond Life Expectancy. Meaning: You have more unassembled and unpainted models than you will finish in your lifetime. It's a raw calculation of how much you own, divided by how much you do in a year, compared to how long you still have to live on average. It's not down to individual model…

  • Gamezone Wind riders size?

Arjelte - - Sylvan Elves (SE)

    Post

Hi, I really like the gamezone wind riders, but I can't find any good pictures of them on square bases. Or, more importantly, as a unit. Can anyone confirm for me these models are usable in 9th (so 40mm bases)? I'm fine with having to place them at different heights if needed.

Next up: - Fixing some second-hand sylvan archers with missing heads and broken bows. - Build my Heath Riders. I'm going to combine some lions from Mantic with GW wood-elf horse riders. They fit perfectly. - Maybe build some riders for my giant Raven. - Maybe build some more forest guard. After I've done the above the weather is probably good enough again to basecoat all of the above, plus 8 dryads and the BSB's and forest guards shields. Maybe the world has come to an end before all that is don…

Yay! Finished some stuff again! A whopping 8 models (excluding bases, saving those for later)! Pics: the-ninth-age.com/index.php?at…c0bf23d3a5a8554f99ddea56e Druid and BSB (missing his shield, not basecoated yet). My theme is black and white, good and evil, yin and yang. Chaos and cosmos fits this pretty well, meaning I always use cosmology and I used the cosmology symbol as a basis for my BSB's banner. the-ninth-age.com/index.php?at…c0bf23d3a5a8554f99ddea56ethe-ninth-age.com/index.php?at…c0bf23…
