The deadline is closing in.... I probably won't have the time to finish my little project but I'll make a good try and see what will come out! Are we planning more competitions like this? Would be nice to know before hand (not actual dates) but maybe "In Mars we will have a competition for "Best Unit" so some of us with bad planning and scarce time can manage an entry!

Nice! Hope you make your entry in time! Will totally steal the banner idea, though my submission had a rather unfortonate mishap as I got the wrong brass rod size for the banner so i'll have to wait a week or even longer for a new one

I agree with all of you, just wanted to push the question. As we are progressing and doing more fun stuff like this, I believe it's also a good opportunity to show off some of the magnificent companies that have aligned with the 9th age and are producing some brilliant miniatures! Soon I will own a complete non GW army But as @JuhoL Im very much in love with old metal GW minis to stop that addiction for quite some time! May the best submission win!

Is there a bonuspoint for non GW model?

  • Wip pictures of the grudge buster please, thats insane!

  • Im figuring out the same conendrum, though my project of VC came into a standstill the last couple of weeks as I Made terrain and starting to pump out dwarf like bunnies would... But take a look at my user blog if you want reference for the GW washes as I used them as well The Lazy Man’s Guide to Miniatures

  • Love The bases as well! Nice work

  • Agree with @WastelandWarrior , forgot about that you would like to have bronze, better than my suggestions and less time consuming than mine.

  • I'd say it's to risky with such nice models, I much rather go black and zenithal with grey and just drybrush the metall on, and call that "primer" and then start the regular painting process. i can't image painting skintone on a gunmetal primer to be easy...

  • Awesome, love The old models and paintjob is sweet!

hmm, or maybe it could be used for sparring, and have some racks with weapons. Love the ideas, now I just try and build playable and nice terrain for skirmish games.

hmm, good idea, seems very reasonable. Just did it on a whim without context. But a fighting pit probably need some kind of stand for a possible crowd

  • @WastelandWarrior the shields, the models will be highly ethereal at best with its pale blue / screamy green initially, and then I will paint swords/spears in metallic/brown with rust pigments. 3 colours Tabletop standard here we come And later in the project I'll get to cloths and so forth but for ease of execution I will go super basic and just get them on the table

  • Okey, so I need some guidance in what colours the shields should be.
