The latest issue of the 9th Scroll is here! You can read all about it in the news.

  • I have tried the units of 5 and in my opinion they dont work well. They die too easily to return attacks so you essentally giving your opponent free points at an expense of a few wounds on somthing which is largely not enough to make signuificant difference. Units of 12-16 are a little different as then if you loose 5 or 6 models you are still grinding with significant attacks. I like this set up in a combined arms list, working together with Lion guards and Ryma Knights for multiple combat thre…

The flaming horse looks pretty cool. Could also do some kind of flying thing like the under the sea elves.

Quote from Calcathin: “@Henrypmiller why do you think it’s not enough to have it in the downloads tab as is now? I think its the right place for it to be (rather than new tab) and should become even easier once BETA is no longer beta and all booked mive to the downloads tab Something that could be done is to add, in the Blog tab, another hyperlink in the top section (literally underneath were it says “Blog”). Call it T9A Magazine or whatever and link it to files in Downloads tab. Just an idea ” …

Quote from Cam: “Can we get some dorfs in the next scroll please? ” Yes.

  • Quote from Little Joe: “Quote from Henrypmiller: “I have the silver guardians and the centaur. Great sculpts. The 2 weapons guardian weapons are a little flimsy and I had to completely replace the spear on the centaur as it was bent/broken and looked pretty bad. Not the biggest task though. Will use the guardians as blade dancers and the centaur as a briar maiden or wizard on steed. ” Thanks for the qualified feedback, any idea what size bases these are shown on? 25 and 40mm? ” Yeah I would gues…

  • Quote from Cealyne: “@Henrypmiller The game I feel is the best as well. It was the best in pre 1.0 Then the constant tweaking continued. This is what has killed a fair amount of the states gamers. 4 year beta. This is the biggest problem. If pre 1.0 this project called it done and slapped gold on it and stopped calling it beta this community would have healed and been stronger. The continued changes and labeling of beta has put too many off for too long. ” Fair enough. Its probably good feedback…

  • @Cealyne I feel the game is currently the best edition of Warhammer/9th age I have ever played. The balance is about 90% there in my opinion. While yes, there are some options in every book that are not as good as others. But every book has some way of playing competatively and these offenders will be cleared up eventually. While it is sad and unfortunate that in the US the game is not doing well, in Europe it is doing well. I think and hope that in time, people will realise the strength of havi…

Where did you buy the rods from? I can’t find it anywhere in Copenhagen. Units of 5 chosen with wrath and great weapon are amazing. Core warriors with halberds and zealot banner are decent as well

  • Quote from Adam: “Skirmish LG are great bunker for your casting crew and they can carry becalming. Of course the only thing such unit can fight is light chaff but it is fairly resistant to shooting and really mobile. ” just take queens guard

Quote from Laurfelt: “I have a tournament in February that I'm hoping to field my WDG at. I'm taking my son to the event so the plan is not so much to field the most OP list I can make (is that even a thing with WDG?) but to bring all the coolest minis in my current selection. The tournament is encouraging players to field monsters, giving each army a free thing. For WDG it's a free dragon for a CL, but he's then not allowed to take Favour of Sloth or Burning Portent. If he's killed, the opponen…

  • How big will they be?

  • Well it gives you a little more flexibility compared to a block of infantry due to light troops and is also harder to chaff compared to say swordmasters or citizen spears. Id also reccomend a champ and banner, so you could go movement banner or tripple march to get him into position. Just an idea.

  • 10 skirmish lions with the spear prince is a nice delivery system

Quote from Casp: “@Henrypmiller You should be happy Scroll will gain in visibility. I am doing a new website, so i need a small presentation text. One paragraphe, around 150-300 character would be perfect. Send it to me in pm Thanks. ” I’ll pm you Quote from tiny: “Quote from Henrypmiller: “@tiny is it still you in charge of the website stuff? ” Generally the answer that question is “no” as I have no position on the project beyond a honorable title as advisory board member. But what do you need?…

    Very Conan. Like it.

  • Quote from Fnarrr: “I would have said the ability to volley fire over their nonsense with no cover + the presence of queen's guard (and other assorted shooting, like the sloop an Elu) in the army makes it a LOT easier to pluck out all their squishy support elements, like weapon teams, warmachines, jezzails, and with focused fire dreadmills - compared to the DE's repeater crossbows. Defence matters little if there is no incoming fire. You take out their support with shooting, magic, & fast maneuv…

  • Quote from jean1951: “Hello, I have a certain amount of figures to make a beast herd. The Beast Herd is forest base. So why not use living creatures of the forest. A few bears, wolves, cats, werewolves etc. I know by doing so the look of the army would be awesome. Most of the figures mentioned would be on bases of 25 X 50mm. But that should not be a problem for removing figures as casualties. Would this fit in the general concept of the game. Best regards, Jean ” This is a great idea. I saw an a…
