The latest issue of the 9th Scroll is here! You can read all about it in the news.
Yeah, I have their first version. It’s not bad, not amazing, but it still looks fine. The crew helps big time, those models are very nice
Well their newer one is on their website right now. I don’t think the older one is on there at all. The crew is the same
IME Norba's casting is quite spotty, it varies a lot.
Two models from the same cast can have wildly variying casting quality, though is IMO ranges from "good" to "salveagable"
My guess is that you simply had bad luck and got a bad castI haz a blog! the-ninth-age.com/blog/index.p…-the-moment-aslo-batreps/.
Mostly KoE and ID stuff. Now also some Void
Does anyone have som pictures of their fully painted Norba Pegasus Knights?
I could clip the sword from her back and clip the blade from her hand and replace with a staff..... And the girl for without the horse is only £13 + delivery.... Do you think she'd look out of place on a GW horse?Never argue with Idiots. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

But I don’t have her, so it’s all guesswork.
As for nudity, you could remove the bottom line of her bra and paint her stomach and bra brown/black so it just looks like she’s wearing a tight leather top.
I do have some spare 5th ed horses so I might get her on her own and see how it looks. I can always grab a cheap Perry / Meirce horse if needed.
Thanks @mrmossevig for pointing me in this direction & good point about the nudity - nothing some careful sanding can't fix
There are so few really good mounted sorceress models and so many good models on feets!Never argue with Idiots. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.
Sounds good, i can't to place an order!
Alright, I got my order from Norbaminiatures.
I must say I'm happy, but also quite disappointed...
Found out a couple issues that could have easily be fixed, and one major problem.
Here a pic of the models:
I must say I truly like the sculpts. They fit well amongst Gw miniatures and maybe even little conversions between the two ranges are possible.
By the way, the couple things that disappointed me are the following:
- the variety of components is not truly on the supposed level, since I recieved 8 shields with the same pattern and just 1 each of three other sculpts; same for heads and swords; I understand this is due to the way the packages are made, but maybe it could be solved by adding a couple of spare heads and shields in each kit.
- almost every sword does not have a tip, and a couple pommels and guards came broken, and to repair them is not so easy; again, this could be easily fixed providing just a couple more weapons in each package, so even if a couple repairings go wrong every man would still have a weapon
But the major problem is about the way the sprue part is attached to the model itself, especially about the swords: there is truly no way to remove it without damaging the pommel or the base of the helmet, and on the shields the process of cleaning may damage the wooden pattern.
I bought some LotR Elves from Norbaminiatures and none of these issues. So maybe it was just a batch of not well casted models I run into...
Anyway, for me this is a 7,75/10 kit.Fede, acciaio e polvere da sparo!
So, I have received the new Questing Knights by @Norbaminiatures.
The general pack layout is presented as received (of course in a bubble envelope with "MUY FRAGIL"! )
The contents of the pack are below:
The set is complete and the cast quality seems to have improved since I last got Norba miniatures (this seems independent of the model, as additional pegasi I have also received also seem better cast than in the previous order); there are few bubbles, though some overcasts, and the finish is much smoother than on my previous pegasi (though a few fingerprints were visible on bardings - these should be easy to smoothen though).
Although there is no assembly instructions, litttle details on the horses' halves make it easy to spot which halves are pairs; heads seem to be interchangeable ( @Norbaminiatures, please correct me if I am wrong!) and also seem to be fitting in style with 6th edition horses, meaning mixed units should be viable. That, however, will have to be checked upon assembly of course.
If anyone is interested in a high-res picture of the contents, it will be posted in the PLOG version on the post.
Thumbs up for Norba!
I have contacted them to ask for an update on when they will be dispatched but as yet have had no reply and still don't know what is going on and an estimated date of arrival.
I know mistakes get made and i judge a company a lot on how they rectify their mistakes, and, i can only say that at present Norba aren't impressing me.
In relation the sculpt ect. It is reasonable quality and the model fits well etc as is very reasonably priced
Plus points: Price & Sculpt
Negatives: Customer Service, communication and a Pegasus without wings is a Horse
So in conclusion Norba's fault or not I received an incomplete item on the 29th of January I only had a response from customer services when i commented on the forum and as yet have still not received the missing pieces.
I judge a company on how they rectify mistakes they make and in my experience (which i appreciate may be different from others on here) Norba has been the least effective in rectifying their initial error.
I am not impressed with the company and unfortunately due to this i wont be ordering from them again.
I love them! Im gonna order them!
